he's taught me a lot of useful things
like how to play chess
and throw darts, or
read a newspaper,
act intelligently aloof,
make love,
not be too nice,
stay up all night;
but most of all
how to be tough

but as detatched
as i have learned to be
there is something i truly love
about sunday morning in his bed,
there is something i truly love
about him
