Looking to the sea, I muse

Watching the waves saunter against the shore.

Knowing that soon, it will surely rain

And now comes false dawn.

Light filters, flickers in my brain

Catching my soul unaware.

As the tears cascade down my face

The sun raises its heavy hand.

Looking to the sea I muse

For a love once held, forever lost.

The last tear I shed is soaked by sand

Now that all feelings have passed.
