Adieu

by Joe Cramer

With you, I don't know what to do,

To share a joy with you, a joy anew.

So happy I have been when with you

My heart now cries out, as I bid adieu.

I long to softly sweep you so very close,

So tightly as if it were the most

I could do. I am left verbose.

Without you, all is lost, without boast.

Is there something I could say

To lift your heavy heart on this day?

Just to tell you I love you in this way.

I would give all I own, I have, away

For you my love, I would give my all

For now, for always, this my call.
