hooley king of the goolies

by Peter Humphreys

I am hooley
king of the goolies
but our folk
are dying out
so when the
gooley gang
passed a law
requiring
the head of state
to procreate
I baulked
at the example
am I not the last
of an ancient race
who saw it as no mere disgrace
to ramble and pillage
so why should the king
gang gooley
but the gooley gang
were not impressed
despite the medals on my chest
so they sent hooley
to the booley
and here I sit
and wonder if
my goolies
will cooley hooley

Ha! And he'd love it....I instantly thought of, "there was an Old Derry down Derry"...excellent fun, Peter. Happy Christmas.
