V-shape by Amanda BullingtonOnce, I wished I could fly.
I used to dream about it
Every night, imagining my
Flesh flapping against a
Windy horizon. In the
World of sleep, it would
Become reality.
Eventually, the dreams
Stopped coming, and I
Unconsciously let my
Feet become planted
Against grass and ground.
At night I raise my arms
And hope to soar above
The world I know, only
To awake with my arms
Tired and asleep in their
V-shape.12/16/2006 Posted on 12/16/2006 Copyright © 2024 Amanda Bullington

Posted by Angela Nuzzo on 12/17/06 at 10:42 AM I like this image a lot, Amanda. I wake up sometimes, exhausted from all the travelling I do in my dreams. Quite often I'm flying. :) |
