Fruit

by Tony Whitaker

Fruit on the fruit tree
When it’s ripe it’s juicy.
So is the love between you and me.
Fruit on a fruit tree,
A bee in the clover
Busy making honey,
Going buzz, buzz, buzz.
Fruit on the fruit tree
When it’s ripe it’s juicy

Great use of vivid, quick imagery, and I also really liked how you put this together. Great work, man.

Nice images, Tony. The repetition of "fruit on the fruit tree" makes me wonder what happens when the fruit finally falls to the ground. ???

Such a positive poem. Yet it has such a negative undertone of the possibility of the fruit falling.
