Goodbeye to Yesterday

by P.T. Brooks

Come tomorrow
And wish me good luck
Today is too far gone
Solong to memories that stay in the past
Cause life is never too long
To the tears that fell
I wonder if they fell without a cause
In fear of consequence
With great suspence
And overdue aplause
To the smiles
I lift my hat
They got me through the years
And knew their place
As they shadowed my face
Staying close behind the tears
For those few that hurt
Forgivenes is on my tounge
But not quite spoken
As I'm not unbroken
Thus the battle stays unwon
Hello to the rest of my life
I greet you here and now
With my hand shake firm
Cause I've come to learn
How to bend my knee and bow
Goodbeye to yesterday
I'll see you in my dreams

This one speaks to me of memories. Of a certain one who holds those memories yet, dear...and without regret.. the best way to live.. totally... again on a housekeeping note, I noticed a few typos...in the title... is it not,'Goodbye?'line#4: So long, line #18: forgiveness, and tongue.... line #21? what do you mean by.. unwon? no such word... and line#27: goodbye... thanks again for stopping by.. aloha..;-)
