#4: Version 2.0 (War Against The Machines 2) by Jersey D GibsonCUT SEQUENCE: The MAINFRAME begins to evole its' programming,
building upon itself and its' minions. Correcting mistakes of the past,
the MAINFRAME begins to produce its' soldiers once again,
known unto itself as VERSION 2.0...
Manufacture line,
components cut and drawn.
Assembly area,
afix death with arms.
The masses stand tall...
Movement comes,
a thousand faces grim and stained.
Herding lot,
metal eyes that sweep and lock-on.
and they all fall down...
Metal milita
version 2.0
brought to you
we're in your lives!
Mechanical meyhem
the past redeux
marching forward
we'll pulverize!
The silent sweeps
of blasted lands.
Gutted buildings
of ages ago.
Have our leaders forgotten us?
Dejected people
living without hope.
Standing in processing lines
has our number come up?
Have we sold our lives away?
Bringeth the destruction
version 2.0
imprisioning you
we have your lives!
Silicon masters
the past relived
like a slaughterhouse
and we're feeding it fine!
Its' the War against the Machines... 12/13/2006

Posted by Kathleen Wilson on 02/17/07 at 05:03 PM I have just noticed your amazing work with this topic and I think you've stepped into the center of an intense and desperately relevant area where most are afraid to step. Powerfully spoken, I have read a few of these this morning, and I feel the same fury yet rush inward, and speak what I can of what's different. You bring it here onto the page, transmuting your insight and experience into fine poetry. Few artists are so bold, honest and creative in their expression. |
