#3: Solid State (War Against The Machines 2)
by Jersey D GibsonCUT SEQUENCE: Looming towers of broken past, lies the ruins of man,
humans forced to lived in the digs of their greatest decadence.
Living life in what could be a proto-Industrial Bronze Age,
scholars warned them that this day would come, but they never saw it coming...
A thousand years has passed,
crippled once, we still are.
Born and bred to squallor,
like vultures picking over carcasses.
These old Pathways and Towers,
only remind us of our downfall.
Spite the day that we were born,
now that Final Judgement is here!
Hear the footsteps crashing closer!
Hear the metal grind.
Hear the treads of war come closer!
Hear the engines whine.
Sticks and stones can break our bones,
but metal blades cut and flail.
Calvary charge on a behemoth tank,
what good can we do?
Marching machines, so relentless,
they don't stop, day or night.
An unstoppable juggernaut,
we'll still die, but we must fight!
Hear the gears turning faster!
Hear destruction rev.
Hear the airships shrieking louder!
Hear the flying lead.
This is a metal solid state of war,
from which we can't return from!
This is the end of the line we've crossed,
and they won't stop until we're done!
We will fight!
This is a metal solid state of war,
from which there is no return!
This is the final judgement comes down,
so better run before you burn!
It's the War against the Machines...
