* To the one who threw caution to the wind

by A. Paige White

All my amazement is your happy prisoner
You bind with chains everlasting and enduring
when you say, "You're free to choose"
I draw a little closer
to the mighty hands, the gripping fists
penning love that will forever grow
because before your tip is whispering
love upon a parchment
-announced and adored by angels-
-renounced and abhored by devils-
sometimes scorned, and yes, at times
by all men
you stand as guardian
and take this trembling hand
this heart that's known the pain
of rejection, even if from mother
and lead me in paths you yourself
walked first
you know well that very and every pain
and with stillness
instill courage to sketch with hope
a life's story you've cuddled
when no one else could begin to understand.

Author's Note: Inspired by Elle O'Connor's, "A Word of Caution"... and of course, my all time hero, Jesus.

awwww...

I have gotten three early Christmas presents
under a cautious Christmas poetree...
Sweetest little trinity of commentary...
Thank y'all.

I like how this thing moves. It's short, but it doesn't really feel like it at all.

Reading this piece is like walking on the wind. Delicate at times, stormy at others, all-the-while delightful in the end.

This one to me sounds like a great testimony of love and adoration for the only One who is worthy of our praise... the Great I AM...the Trinity, Jesus and the Holy Ghost... you have done them a great service... thank you for stopping by and for your kind sentiment.. aloha..;-)
