small ring circus

even in my impregnable crimson fortress
ash smile doubts slither and
farthest corner bellows secret names
of my anguish
furious poetics hissing from
reluctant fingers
my mouth the slightest o
small door for love
but larger than this
carnival of words
garish adjective clowns conspire
with jugglings of misplaced nouns
obscuring the lowest ring of this circus:
i am red for you
and only in this roundabout way
can i say
