it's like a bad movie

by Delilah Coyne

i keep waiting for something to happen
something that will draw me in-
involve me

i sit there watching
hoping that
at any moment
something monumental will hold my attention
make me bite my nails
and capture me

surely the very next line
will reveal something worth hearing
something that makes all the drivel thus far
meaningful

a silent black screen
it's over
the credits roll and music plays
nothing of consequence

what a waste of time

I hate things that make you think... Why? What was the point? Well expressed Delilah, great write

Unfortunately, most movies I've seen recently leave you with this feeling described here- very unsatisfied and questioning why anyone would even bother to make it. Well written- good points made.

hmmm... i hate that feeling, watching and waiting for something huge to come across your path, and yet you're left with the mundane... i keep telling myself that the wait will not return void... let's hope for the positive, eh?
