Because of you, I live
Because of you, I am strong
You comfort me in those dark regions
Where even candles refuse to share their glow,
When I find myself swimming in tears
In that place of giving up,

nowhere to go
Haunted by those thoughts
That nobody cares,

'I quit'
Why even bother
if it's too hard to keep striving?
Just let me lay down and die ...

When everyone walked away, you stayed
With no one around, you remained,
When it looked like there was no way out
And I was down for the count
Another statistic finished,
You never gave up
You kept me when others were too busy
You protected my life
When those storms hit,
Kept me sane in the midst of it all ...

And I will shout from the rooftops
Sing from the hills,
With God as my protector
Whom shall I fear?
Not death or destruction
Or attacks from beyond,
It's because of Him
do I live
And for Him, will I go on
Victorious!
Against all those enemies of my soul
Who won't stop 'til I am dead,
We'll defeat them,
one by one
And with Him by my side,
His love as my sure foundation
There is nothing that together,
We can't overcome ...
