Bemused and Intrigued

by Alisa Js

This kind of love is so brand new to my world
Tender and sweet like a soft, summer breeze,
With a hint of forever, whispering sweet
and I am touched to my core,
Bewildered, yet compelled ...

I have tasted your passion, intense and mind blowing
There can be no other for me there, anywhere
Felt the wrath of your anger, brutal
Ventured on those pathways of exploration and blame,
Lived on obsession for days without end
Traveled those same roads of forbidden desires, chagrined
Licked our wounds brutally, while acting like kids,
Walked away for a time to heal and to mend
Those cinnamon tears, bright red...

But one thing I know for certain is this
I have never known another with your signature style,
You drive me crazy and you do that so well
Without even trying, I believe,
and just when I think I have this all figured out
Stamped and sealed, ready to categorize and file,
You surprise me like this,
and I'm back to where I started
Bemused and intrigued, hopelessly ...

This one's even more interesting than the other one. You should probably be writing some short fiction.
