We shared that moment in time
Etched for all eternity deep inside our souls,
Tasted pleasures beyond description
Or this vain attempt by mere words alone to try,
And tho' tomorrow is not guaranteed to anyone
I would not change a thing,
Alter one word spoken in anger or lust
Brimming with that certain promise of love,
Blooming in tender buds
On the fragile stem of forever,
We both glimpsed together
and almost touched ...

For now, I'll hold this fresh bouquet of memories
To gaze upon when I smile,
When those thoughts stop by as they often do,
This door is always open to the wonder of love
To love and the splendor of you ...

I bless the day we met
My heartstrings profoundly caressed,
Thank you for that exquisite side you allowed me to see
But more than see, to harmonize and be a part of
Of that phenomenal experience of us,
To have reached those heights
Great poets have penned by candlelight,
From Shakespeare to Keats
My life has been blessed,
By the magnitude of your touch
Across my beating chest...
