the sun has gone down,
when everything seemed so bright
we've fallen into darkness
cast into the unrelenting night
i look down this street
suddenly standing alone
expecting your call,
yearning for your voice
swirling down, deeper into this end
dusk is upon us

we were blinded by the sunset,
thinking it would last forever
thrust into this darkness
we should have been running
chasing the horizon
staying together, running forever
now there is no sun
the stars are hiding

searching this dark sidewalk

lost in the daylight, now turned into night
