Oh You Lucky Stiff

by Maria Terezia Ferencz

Oh You lucky stiff
there are no more decisions
for you
away with the quesions
no longer asking
WHY?

Oh you lucky stiff
lost soul no longer
gone the long nights awake
reasoning with Destiny
Destiny sleeps peacefully
wrapped around you now

Oh you lucky stiff
stuff of matter
matters not now
flesh is no longer
weighing you down

Oh you lucky stiff
I leaned over
kissed you goodbye
you left on my lips
a knowledge
slipped a tongue
to my
mind

Oh you lucky stiff
dreaming longingly
of the life you were
ALIVE

Hi Maria. Really interesting; in life we may dream of death...in death will we dream of life? Ponderous.
