learning without hearing a word

by Ava Blu

his mind was lined with books
that his hands had never been able to grasp

so he asked me to read to him,
all the things he never could get

and I did

even when my eyes started to blend the stories together

he still listened,
and I was the better for it.

A moment, and then it's gone. You do that better than just about anyone I know.

I love this, reminds me of some great old memories. Happy Tday, JC.
