in focus

by Beth K Hannah

I think you could heal me in that way that most people never expect
As if you could complete me…ending all ties with the superficiality
Of the way I was use to feeling.

I know I want to dance to under the sky and the stars
Feeling whiskey breath on my neck
And your hands at my waist…
Fulfilling all those parts of me I’ve always wanted to burn.

But you barely know me from Eve,
Though you have seen more of my eyes
Than others before you.
I wish this was simpler than I could make it be
I wish you could understand the reasons
Why I stilt my words to you.

For I will always be stumbling into joy and
Tripping into glee.
With you,
And I want my eyes to meet the constellations in you

Author's Note: gosh, this is a tumble of every Ryan Adams song I have in my heart. I wish he would just drown me and get it over with

Heh. Well, you got some good work out of it, eh? I really liked this.
