Kathy caught me in the Bookstore
Wandering rapidly through the stacks.
I thought I was early, though far too late
To be as unobtrusive as I once was.
Kathy remained elusive as the day was long,
Though the night was far too short for me.
She smiled, I must admit I was beguiled
At the inherent possibility
Of what was to happen that evening.
The first date was not long enough for me,
I wonder if I will again hear from Kathy?
