I can eat cake
All sorts of cake
Plain cake
Fancy cake
Cruller, danish
Anything in the cake family
And I define pie
As cake too
But the calories
Add up quickly
So I pass bakeries
Or see cakes in markets
And tell myself
I can eat cake
But like a dog
Howling at the full moon
I'm a shadow
Of the cake eater
I once was.
