"Between Perfection and Humanity"

by Max Phineas

If you've come too far
To remember where you've been
Turn around and start again.

Nothing comes from unchanged lives
Crazy ways die, giving birth to opportunity;
So you can't have it both ways.

A bass guitar string hums your rhythm
An electric screams your pain
But only your voice sings your journey
And only your heart beats louder than words.

And somewhere-
between the thumping in your ears
And the cries of life's song-
Lies you, a human:
Perfectly flawed.
Just as humans lie,
You speak unreasonable,

Melodious

Truths.

Very nice, Cole. I love the first 4 lines. :)

that's just so simply beautiful and true. It sounds like a song even.
