As Bright As Evening Stars

by Joe Cramer

As bright as the evening stars high above
I go now to my heart, my true love.
While they shine faintly, twinkle so slightly
We walk beneath them, together nightly.
Just to be with you, my truest of love
To share your heart, under the stars above.
You bring such a joy to me on this night
I long to see you, keep you in my sight
Of my true love for now, and for always,
Throughout the sum of all of my long days.
Our love, sometimes with the shed of a tear
Still keeping us close, despite any fear
Of long and lonely miles held inbetween
Our love so true, do you see what I mean?

Well, now you have a fan Joe, because I adore love sonnets. I could sit and read them all day long... Hmmm it may take me awhile to read all yours.
