The Rain by Joe CramerThe rain has stopped, even though my heart
Pours outward and on, into this morning.
Without warning, these words stop
And I'm left with another start.
This small fluff of verbiage
Leaves me less inspired than I originally was.
I suspect that this piece too will be deemed
One dimensional, flat. 11/06/2006 Author's Note: Someone feels that a certain poem in my Library is "one dimensional/flat"... however, the intended recepient of the poem loved it!
Ouch! So this was my response to life...
"Fame is a bee
It has a song--
It has a sting--
Ah, too, it has a wing.
Dickinson

| Posted by Nikki Benson on 11/07/06 at 09:29 PM Hey dude... Sorry someone was hating on you... I guess that is the risk you take when you put yourself out there and allow other people to "rate/judge" you. all we can do is hope for the best, but expect the worst... Do whatever makes you happy. You also are able to not allow other poeple to rate your work, so you are just sharing. but then, you wouldn't be albe to see when others think you are brilliant. :) Keep writing. and thanks for checking out my work. |

i found it more original. i loved the unexpected rhymes: warning and morning.. verbiage and was... they were a sort of surprise that lifted the mood of the piece.. "these words stop
And I'm left with another start."
