silent sentinels
of night cast
shadows harsh
in mourning
light as secret
soldiers slowly
walking frontiers
in our minds
protecting us from
sinful thoughts in
this unchristian
world or maybe the
patrols keep borders
within that might
from unfair guilt
but let us fly
and unshackle
our conditioned
souls still young
still brave still
questioning
