Tightly

by Joe Cramer

Emily wants to know
Which poems are hers,
As she scribbles away
Furiously in her journal.
She writes poetry
But is more inclined

"Look Dad," she exclaims,
"I've injected humor
into my story!"
My reply has no words
To do it justice.
I smile
Hugging her tightly.
