Lost Soul

by Frank Lee

Shattered glass on an abandoned apartment
and the girl across the street screams,
my bad.
But this beer is for you and that night when we both hit that big 360
maybe it was meant to be.
I’m sorry I went camping that weekend,
and I’m sorry we snorted coke off my mirror the last time I saw you.
And never said peace.
I remember when you were cleaner then me..
It should have been me not you,
I’ll remember what you said when we got kicked out
and I’ll remember when you couldn’t even take that whole beer bong
passed out in my living room cradling your bottle of jim beam...
I remember when you and your girlfriend used my bed
I remember in the morning what you said.
I laugh at everything we ever did,
and hardly know any of the people that we hung out with..
Funny thing is though, they’re all alive,
and you’re somewhere else.
