Beautiful by Keith D AllisonThis woman in the essence of her youth
a flower waving with every curve
to draw the eye into the magnificence
that the mind might deliberate
consuming
like the taste of brown sugar and molasses, candy
But now hang in the valley of tears
for the flow of times
calculated march
beauty, all beauty
can only now flow from within
for time now waxed the stains
up on outer petals of the rose
But I see not
for I have been kissed
by her endless heart 10/15/2006 Posted on 10/16/2006 Copyright © 2025 Keith D Allison

Posted by Gregory O'Neill on 10/16/06 at 04:46 AM Hi Keith. This is just lovely. Your line, "for time now waxed the stains/up on outer petals of the rose", to me shows real vision, to pull that image in. And your final line is really perfect and so touching. Cheers, my friend.
