Growing Laughter by A. Paige White
The humming of legions of angry bumblebees,
It doesn't bother me
When peace rules
As the neighbors trim their yard.
Passersby might think they cut the lawn
those dwelling close by, true initiates,
Know little grass lives there.
They are diligent in this quest
The dear old souls
Week after week
Their dirt grows shorter and shorter.
They're doing a great job!
Their shorter growing dirt
Is growing laughter tall.

Author's Note: Inspiration: 605 Are you there Drive:
Their lawn blooms giggles, chuckles and grins :-}
This poem is inspired by my son's bemused and slightly disbelieving
observation, "The Colemans are cutting their dirt again".
