Heartspoken by Traci MabatsAll that I loved is gone
eroded by the black depths of time
decaying monuments
I can no longer remember
their form
or function
sweeter words
never spoken
now dust at my feet
And broken mirrors reflect
long gone images
of what I cannot remember
Yawning chasms
resounding
the melancholy rhythm of life
still beats on
a tune my heart once knew
