Cafe au Lait by Joe CramerSitting beneath a "Starbucks" sign
Knowing full well that I would never,
Ever pay five dollars for a cup of coffee,
Or three dollars for a spot of tea.
So instead, I try to bring my bottle of water
In from the cold, in from the heat.
My old soul is appeased by that fact
While awaiting the arrival of a friend. 10/06/2006 Posted on 10/06/2006 Copyright © 2024 Joe Cramer

Posted by George Hoerner on 10/06/06 at 07:43 PM I had to chuckle when I saw this listed under the recently posted poems. All I could think of was the coffee and your last name. It should have been "Creamer". But I agree with the excess cost of their coffee. They could at least give us free access to their internet system for what they charge. |
