Published?
by Joe CramerI glimpsed the photograph of a poet
In the back of a newly published book.
What does he know that I don't?
His words, better than mine, are they?
Perhaps just the order of them is better.
I looked into the eyes of that poet
(In the back of that new book).
Then took a quick look at the smile,
And more importantly, his hands.
This poet knew far more than I do

It seems a degree in some form of language and a position teaching such a course at an institution of higher learning can make all the difference in the world. My two years of Jr. College only prepared me to write, not to be published. Yet there is always hope, eh? (smile) - RCat |
