It fills me with angst, anguish
But this deed I must do.
Tearing down the walls built
Around my emotions is like
Tearing down a part of me.
Returning me to purity.

I must become the next
Chris McCandless; return to
nature with a single mattress
and no other knowledge of a
life marked by materialism.
This is what drives me.

I ripped down my bedposts,
my comfort zone, and I don't
even know why. This is what
drives me, this raw emotion.
Leaving, traveling, living
from a duffle bag, and
independence from everything.
