A Vampiric Confession

by Razel Davies

My name is Razel Horeth.
I am a vampire.
I was born a human in 1743.
I was turned at the age of 14.
Age is non-relative for us.
We exist in the place of humans who didn’t live out their lives.

I am a Bahrum vampire.
We are of a pure blood line,
And so I am immortal.
Lower lines are less lasting.
I have strength far beyond humans.
Same with speed.
Light has no affect on us,
Neither does garlic,
Holy water or crosses.
It is vampiric law that we only “prey”,
On those who are a danger to society.
In this way we are a service to humans rather than a threat.

Every legend has a beginning.
Every myth has a base in truth.
Vampires exist.
We live among humans,
Without you even suspecting our presence.
After all, why would you question us,
If you cannot see the differences?

You explained "Vampirism" so well, that I no longer have fear for them. I liked the biographic aspect to this!
