same old, same old takes me by surprise

by Vere Mantratriad

I know I could
beg sanity to stay
but she very rarely
hears me and still,
I falter on my
own discretion
that leads me to
a belief that
every time proves
itself to be
some hopeful glance
into a promise
of what youth
might have been
and could have
been for a
has been waiting
for a kamikazi
to return from
the edge of the
stand still that
we so often throw
ourselves into by
caring far too much
about the who
and the why
when I don't know
how such things
could run through
and push aside
what never
should have been

beg sanity to stay, I believe your style works well here. I usually read them through at least twice, once to enjoy the words and flow and twice to catch the nuances I may have missed..smh :)
