~IF YOU~

by Maria Terezia Ferencz

Call me as property
prepare to lose said same
name me as numbered
I will soon forget your name

See me only beauty
dare not to look within
imprint me as I will soon be
not more than memory

touch me with hands alone
never touching deep
my soul
fool you are
left to weep
for I will soon be gone

taste me too briefly
not savoring sweet love
you will only get a sip of me
I will never fill your cup

~IF YOU~
brand me with fire
scorch your claim
upon my lips
scarlet letter of desire
scarred by love
I'll wear your name

Author's Note: AHHH the word IF, so small but there are worlds within.....

...maria, melady, love two big things, the wording annnnnd the line breaks...very heavy delightful line breaks melady...each stands on its own feet, the way life is...and yeah, even branding, the brand does wear with time, eh?...love it...peace, chaz
