distant landscapes

by Peter Humphreys

distant landscapes
of the mind
can evoke
memories
most unkind
of
valleys
lost
in springtime
lust
of
summer's
mild
and
childhood missed
of autumn's
rains driving
us insane
of winter's
deep words
that seep
from wild
and reckless
nights
of passion
unfolding now
where bodies
sleep
the promises
we refused
to keep
of
tenderness
hope
and
vision

Hi Peter. Rather "stream of consciousness", and I like it. Take care.
