More time to figure out if something better was going to come along
More time to define the feelings you've held in so long
More time to work it out in your head

More time to discover what were your truths and lies
More time to decide if I fit into your life
More time to say words that are so hard to say

You thought you had more time
More time to spend time thinking on if this was meant to be
More time to take the adventures we planned from the start
More time to pick me up and hold me very close

But time ran out
Our time was up
There wasn't going to be a tomorrow today
You aren't going to ever get another chance to see my smiling face
Because time took me away

And I can see you standing there
Just standing there
Over my newly covered grave
Praying that the words in stone don't really spell out me

You're looking down then looking up
You're dropping to your knees
I can see you
But you can't see me

Cursing yourself for taking so long
To realize the truth
You took for granted every moment
Every single moment I was with you

Tears are falling down a long face for a face you'll never see
Tears you never thought you'd see again never thought you'd need

If my death means something let is be this
Time should not be taken for granted
Let him live in each and every moment

And should love cross his path again
Let him jump at the opportunity
For finding someone isn't just a blessing
It's what every human being needs
