constant mother-worry

by Charlie Morgan

as the car seat pops the buckle in place
and ten fingers shoot out taught,
closed eyelids keep the noise-monster
away as the fingers slowly relax.

the mother worries about her
war-torn son; he's 3 months old,
she's just planning ahead.

Lol that's brilliant Charlie. Love the description of the way a baby reacts in its sleep. Well done again.

If only the buckling of a car seat could be enough to save one from the world......a magic moment reclaimed. Thank you.
