constant mother-worry by Charlie Morganas the car seat pops the buckle in place
and ten fingers shoot out taught,
closed eyelids keep the noise-monster
away as the fingers slowly relax.
the mother worries about her
war-torn son; he's 3 months old,
she's just planning ahead.
