Crane Fly

by Dave Fitzgerald

The humble crane fly
Or Daddy Long Legs.
What is its purpose?
The question begs.
They appear out of no-where
In the month of September
But one with a mission
I cannot remember.
They have wings
But they struggle to fly,
So again I ask,
Why? Tell me why?
They're in front of the TV,
Bump into your face,
They're like great big mozzies
But without bite or pace.
I fail to see
Just what is their need?
Were they placed on this earth
Just as spider feed?

I am with Lori. I wonder why for a lot of bugs! LOL! YOur description is so apt. I can feel the annoyance you describe. And with you wonder why.
