zoomthru by Steven Kenworthythe one swim stroke i was afraid to try:
when the shape of your dramastage matched mine
around november,
near the beginning
we were handed the rain, in
umbrellas
wet
we drank it down
and the drinking, the drinking it eventually
got us everywhere.
swimming in
the rhythm it takes to maintain grace
ive some
forgetful i forgive the wind
in the air you are
my brand new hot air balloon
over fields
feeling over thinking
this basket is holding us together
today there is sun.
you bring the muscles out.
touch all of your favorites.
inspired by heliums ability to lift
for you, i am up
allnight
the paint trying hard to dry is watching
us drip.
young trees are faucets growing too close together
allnight branch winding
southern seas hot we are making no moves
just shining against
if walls could talk they would melt
a burning building
i am with you.
skinless,
hang on i will grab my jacket
sunk cool outside is the citrus night
slide up to my drive
the hourglass astronaut
starsurfer,
queen size thief,
do not give me space
out of uniform lets run out of life.
take off your shoes.
& i swing you in the parking lot
time and time
you drive with bare feet
you drive for miles
take pictures & camcord this cycle
history in the making is a lot like
good things happening more than once.
09/14/2006 Author's Note: beautiful beginnings, beautiful endings.
faith in all the strangest circumstances happening for a reason.

Posted by Leslie Ann Eisenberg on 09/19/06 at 08:47 PM i'm drowning in these waters and loving it! the wetness of the first few stanzas is erotically charged, and so full of LIFE itself. forgetful, i forgive the wind -- killer line! feeling over thinking
this basket is holding us together
today there is sun.
you bring the muscles out.
touch all of your favorites....this segment truly defines the great risk of intimacy, and the delicate touches, the shy movements when two are beginning to twine as one....these waters keep you safe in burning buildings, in hot air balloons...beginnings and endings, stunningly beautiful all....another outrageous right, SK!
