someday my prince will never come...

by Shonda Chrissonberry

as little girls we dream ~ we carefully pick out our prettiest dress, draping something lacy over our heads, slip our tiny feet into Momma's favorite high heels, and pretend that our knight in shining armour ~ our Prince ~ has come to take us to his castle and love us forever...

as little girls we dream ~ that one day love will be ours, we will walk down the isle into the arms of our soulmate, in that long white dress, pearls around our neck and our Daddy beside us giving us away...

as little girls we dream ~ and for a moment we truly believe it will all come true, this fairy tale that was written for us, no one can take it away because we believe in our hearts that this is true love and true love always finds a way...

then one day you wake up and that little girl that once had so much faith in her fairy tale is gone ~ she is dead along with all her dreams ~ all that is left is the pain that a lonely heart beats for a love unfullfilled ~ then that moment from years ago changes to the reality that not all dreams really do come true

as little girls we dream

but as broken hearts we realize ~ not every girl gets a fairy tale written for her ~ not all dreams come true

Shonda, remember faith creates, loss of same destroys. Recapture the little girl in you and play with her, she may make your story come to life.....NEVER GIVE UP.
