It Can't Just Be [my imagination] by Jayme L HelmickAll in my head
The doctor said
As I whittled-
no, twiddled-
my thumbs to a different beat
Rainbows in gray
Forgot how to play
They chased me
and groped me
when I broke down again
Candles are burning
While silence goes turning
I broke down
to meltdown-
in a potpourri of delusion
I wish you here
To explain my fear
To forgive,
and forget,
my sick brain's biased ego
It's all in my head
My best friend said
So pass the pill
Try to kill
another misguided apprehension
I wish I could just be normal for once.

| Posted by Tim D Livingston on 09/08/06 at 07:56 AM I hate this debate. Is it chemical or just misguided perceptions or both or lack of vitamins and herbal supplements? Should we all just smoke marijuana? Definitely feel ya. Beautifully done. I think my latest one is kind of along the same lines. |
