Love at First Sight

by Susan Q Tomas

Devil in electric blue, or vibrant yellow, or daring red.
It doesn't matter what color you wear,
your gorgeous.
I can not stop thinking about you.
I walk into rooms forgetting why I'm there.
I think about you constantly.

I want you, to take you for a ride.
I would have to give up everything
to obtain you, but I can't maintain you.
And if I did, would you love me back?
Most likely not.

My favorite taunt, forever out of reach.
But I am already in a relationship.
Attractive and reliable, sensible, enviable.
Someone will have you. Jealousy rises.
Not me. I'll let you go.

Author's Note: And his name? Ferrari. I am interviewing a Ferrari saleswoman for a magazine. After doing research, I became infected with want. I am a car fan.

Expensive taste expressed with wry wit. ( My wife and I always had champaign tastes with coke salaries!)
