I enter

do I knock
and say
goodbye

say no

do I enter
unannounced

on
his face
ignore
the pain
the ageing
frowning
puzzlement
of parting

perhaps
I just go
by alone

not knowing
what I
should
have done

but
simply
sure as
sure
can be
that what I do
is right
and wrong
