silver sand by Peter Humphreyson silver sand
we walk
bare foot
as gulls
cry
in the sky
the even tide
brings in
the boats
and from
their decks
the gulls
do fly
back
to the sea
again
while Nephin's bulk
on skyline broad
does scowl and skulk
anew
and in the dune
beside the bay
I take
your hair
and let it
play
across my
body bare
you kiss
me deep
so deep
unknown
the breath
does from
my body
float
into
your mouth
into
your heart
as I
give
myself
to
you
