struck by Cassandra Leighlooking upon you i see at last
the glorification of God
intrinsic in the human form
you move with such quiet violence i can only compare you to
breaking glass because that is what i am
when your eyes fall on me
however briefly
before you look away
afraid
and i was willing to destroy the world i had built to
have my chance to know you but i know you
are but a mere shadow
of your appearance (that of Apollo)
though by God the way you move
is like Objectivism and the Apocalypse both together and none
and i take my name from your lips
husky (it's all i ever get from you)
and you didn't mean it but i
felt like eons were passing between our hands and i will
mold it with my admiration
into all of the things that will never come to pass

Posted by Elizabeth Jill on 08/28/06 at 11:59 AM I've felt this same way, and couldn't find the words...
You've found them and they zoom so perfectly (into the center where it all began!)
struck
brilliantly!
