I met my maker

by A. Paige White

I met my maker today
His new mercies woke my morning
Packages wrapped with ribbon scattered through my day
And His grace tucked me into sleep last night.
The prediction of one day meeting my maker
I consider not a warning
It holds not fright, but a joyous delight.
I meet my maker today.

Have you ever had a baby
Fall asleep on a pillow
And tiptoeing oh so carefully
Moved the babe
From one room of use to another?
I met my maker today.

Yesterday I danced for Him, before His eyes
That circle all the earth unseen by man,
These eyes, for me, held no disapproval
they travel all the earth & skies
looking for fools like me.

I met my maker today.
I wait for no possible tomorrow.
I meet my maker today.
I’ll sing His songs
And learn his way
I met my maker in today.

...ahhh, paige, what a wordful play on the Unanameable, Unseeable, but very reallllly here, and about...love the drenching lyrical way of "meeting the maker"...peace, chaz
