Slippery red beads
of drops flicker
down the tongue
as memories of
youth shutter
agains my flush
cheeks.

Tuesday seems
to come and go like
days go and years
seem to fling
me against the wall.

I am still sore
when you slammed
the door behind you.
Even though in my mind
your tears cut
me to the deepest
core.

Diamonds and shards
never explained the
misery you left me.

Sorry that I'm gone
like yesterday tears.
