(Two, poems actually, no titles) by Mary J Anna
Be like the lotus,
yellow at the center, our
laughing animus.
Beautiful Man I
see your eyes say enough too.
you live anyway.
08/10/2006 Author's Note: Well, I just changed the last line of the second from "living anyway" to "you live anyway" it may sound like a small difference, but that's the thing with these haikus! gr... Anyway, I hope it's still open and interesting.
These, although now directed differently to the general reader, began as the same poem with the same voice and intended audience. To me, the primary subject matter is life/philosophy/humor? If I could make on up, then really it's about living in an analytical head and then humor. analysis, hence phil. although generally, it's uplifting i think
(Oh, and for M.S.F.G.; that's MSG nearly haha, another applicable subject matter-food, and critical of, well, etc. etc etc! But anyway, what a great addition.)

Posted by Jared Fladeland on 08/10/06 at 05:44 PM hmm. the first haiku is splendid. I love it... i'm intrigued by the second one... it really makes me think about what it is to be alive and in the moment or simply "there" as a zombie |
